I have a klir 7" drop in roller system and when it works it is great. I do have one annoyance that bugs me. It is the seal material for the unit sucks. It is floppy and folds over easily when I am trying to replace the unit after servicing. I had the idea of putting a pad on the top of the 7" hole the would seal when the until is dropped in. My issue is I have no clue what to make such a pad out of. I want something that will not leech nasty chems into the tank. Any thoughts??

Any food-grade silicone pads would be fine (you can cut these to fit pretty much anything).
Thanks for this. I went to Walmart and just got a silicone baking/cooking sheet for cookie and such. I traced the old crappy seal opening for the part of the Klir that extend trough the opening and left an extra inch all the way around the outside parameter of the old seal. The result is I have a quiet and working fleece roller where all the water is going where it is meant to go. I even have a bunch of the leftover sheet material to make a few extra for the future if needed. Thanks Blaxsun!

Glad it worked out for you! Where there's a will (or noise, or mess) - there's silicone! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Anyway you could share a picture of your setup and seal? I have the same issue and curious if your solution would work for my setup as well.
