Need a shell for a marine giant hermit crab!!!

I have not. I just googled giant conch shells and some really pretty ones popped up and took me to this site. They have some listed as painted and polished and then some listed as natural, hopefully they can help!

I emailed John at reefcleaners and he said he doesn't have any but that they like these shells (he linked me to an ebay listing) but I'm concerned it might have trouble moving around in my tank among my rocks with such a pointy shell

We picked him up in December. We had set up and cycled a tank hoping to catch and bring a fish back from a trip to Hawaii but didn't end up catching anything so we just had this tank sitting there.

Went to an lfs and saw loved the crab! So we came back the next day to get him and the lfs workers tried there best to convince me not to buy him. He was there pet and they were sure he would kill anything in my tank, spit up sandstorms, rearrange rocks, and just be evil. Except my tank didn't have any creatures in it for him to kill and I had the same large grain crushed coral substrate they had so they said there goodbyes and we brought him home!

Nice pick up, wife really enjoyed that haha. Good luck.

I would think the hole shouldn't be a problem. I have land crabbies and they don't seem to mind if a shell has a hole in it.
