Bought the innovative marine fusion lagoon 25 fro
Jeromy.

The tank is $250
The stand (which is just that)
No sump or anything.
Just a stand.
Is $300....

I've been looking on Craigslist and my problem is the tank is 24 Across and 20 front to back. Most stands I've found whether for TVs or what have you aren't 20 inches front to back.

I have the lagoon 25 and it cost me around $80 to build my own stand

Did you use the stand calculator you get when you google ? I have those plans

Bryan, there are tons of stand threads on R2R if you run into any issues or need a hand let me know.

I found a nice one on Craigslist it was like a tv stand that was actually a good enough size, most are too narrow front to back. They had it listed for 60 said they'd take 50 and it was a bit of a drive so I asked if they'd take 40 and I was told to go blank myself.

Do you mean for building them? How much do you think it will cost me to Build one ? It's an odd tank size so I either build one or buy a stand on Craigslist that will work

Yes build threads. If you have the tools you can get it done pretty cheap, under a hundred. In addition, the stands I have been building feel rock solid compared to most manufactured stands.

I would use 2x3 studs and 1/2 plywood for the base of the tank and sump area. Skin it how ever you like.

If you want to come check out the stands I've built in the last few weeks, message me and we can set up a time.

It's an all in one! Don't even need a sump. Literally just a stand for it to sit on. I used one of those online plan makers and I think it was like 16 or 21 total 2x4 and you have your frame. That would be like $17. It's the adding the skinning and doors etc that would bewilder me. I may just have one of my friends call the Craigslist person and get the stand for me. I even said I'm sorry you could have just said 50 is as low as I can go and I would have said ok that's fine.

Building a basic stand is pretty cheap as long as you have the tools and time. Just need a few 2x4's and good quality ply, birch for me. You could also add trim and paint/stain.

Maybe I will attempt it. Can't hurt to learn. I've dealt with woodworking in some capacity before. I have a great Li-Ion dealt drill but I need a miter/chop saw

That looks great Jeremy! Good job. I think I will build it. Just need to find a miter saw or have Home Depot cut it all for me
