I have a really nice 6-7 head Acan. It has been doing well, grown at least one new head, over the past several months I’ve had it. Always puffing way up so all the heads look nice and full.
past several days (possibly a weeks but I had major surgery so lost a couple of days of. Coherent thought!) it’s been open but not filled out - like the polyps don’t want to touch each other. I do feed freshly made “reef chili” about once a day and also spot feed corals a couple of times a week with Phyto feast, Roti feast and Oyster feast. Water parameters (the basics) all fine: 1.025; dKH 8.5; Amm 0/nitrite 0/NO3 5-10, PO4 .003 - 0.1 but I don’t test daily T-79 stable.
Only significant changes are that I removed a 3+ inch Hippo tang whom had claimed the entire 125 gallon tank, bullied a royal gramma to death and was doing her best to intimidate a redhead Solon fairy wrasse I had added which is not a juvenile - got from a fellow reefer who’d had him 2 years. I don’t see anything on the coral annoying it but not sure what to do. It is firmly attached to its own rock.
My pictures suck for a couple of reasons:
iPhone camera with filters
I have a tremor I can’t control
First full size image is when it looked normal
2nd full size image is how it’s been looking for about a week
Help/ideas/suggestions please! Thank you!
