Does anyone know what would make an anenome go from fully extended to active to totally deflated as in the picture below. Is it dying? Water parameters are good. It was a bubble tip anenome. The clownfish loves it.

Post exact parameters. Anemone hiding under the rock isn’t the best spot since it won’t get nutrients from light. You may want to target feed it a bit. Also, what light do you have exactly?

32 gallon biocube with LED lights that came with tank
ammonia 0
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
Flow- pretty good , I use nothing special simply flow from biocube

I tried to feed it shrimp last week but did not eat. It is normally aggressive about eating. It seems to be on the delcine. I was so proud of it. Last night I tired to target feed it reef roids since it is deflated.

Hmm I’m not sure then. Sometimes when you feed them too much they go under rocks because they don’t need to use the light for food. What is you lighting

How often do you feed it?
I used to feed it twice a week. mIt loved shrimp. It had a wonderful apetite. but the last time I tried to feed it . It would not eat. It started to change color and get dark and it also started to deflate. Now it has been under the rock for two days. How to I get it back to normal.

He started to defleate the same day that I noticed that my Skunk cleaner shrimp was missing. I saw a head with two eyes. I thought that probably he ate the shrimp and got sick.

Would you do a small water change? Do you think that will help? I thought that I was changing the water two much.
