need advice for moving corals

i would probably use a dremel and go under the coral, between the putty and the rock and just cut it off.... (thats if you have a dremel i guess)
otherwise that putty can usually be broken off i think. you could use a flat head screwdriver and just gently pry under the putty and see if it will just pop off...
 
the putty usualy is brittle. I would just wiggle the two apart. I personaly don't like the putty it takes longer for the coraline to grow on. You end up with a white eye soar to look at. I would suggest super glue gel. Just take out the rock and the hammer frag towel dry the spot you want to glue it to and the end of the frag, add glue and wait about ten second place the rock in some tank water to set the glue. I try to put the glue only where the two are touching so I don't see the dried glue when I am done. If you can put the end of the hammer in a pocket in the rock to help hold it in place that is optimal.

how can i be sure if i can frag the actual coral, it has two heads right now but they arent sticking out very far
