Hi, I need some advice to raise calcium safely without making my alkalinity unstable. I 2-part dose and my initial thought was just keep increasing my dosage each week. Been doing it for 2 weeks now and it stays about the same, around 390-400ppm. I've never really had issues with calcium and never checked. My calcium has always been 450-480. I do run a sps dominated tank so I understand if they are starting to take off and consuming alot of calcium. Right now I'm up to dosing 60ml of calcium and 55ml of alkalinity, while trying to keep my alk between 7-8. Do I just keep bumping up my dosage each week?

What are you using to test Calcium and how old is the kit? You may have to end up dosing different amounts for your two part so don't get too hung up on the numbers being unequal.

I would dose a little more Calcium to get the number where you want it then taper back to a maintenance dose. Or you can keep your maintenance dose and let it come up via water changes.
