Need advice on a decent return pump

So I currently have a Dc4000 return pump on my 40 breeder with 20 gallon sump. As of late it seems to be losing its power. I now have it all the way up and it comes out slowly as before it had more umpf. I am also running a manifold off of the pump for gfo and carbon. What pump would be a good choice to go with. I prefer dc pump.

Before changing the pump, have you cleaned it lately and how old is the pump. Is their any build up in the return lines and such. I would hate for you to replace it and it not solve the problem.

The pump is not that old I think maybe I will take it apart and clean it before I drop money on a new pump thank you.
