I bought a refractometer off Amazon for about 26 and it seems ok but im having to recalibrate it everyday and was wondering if this is normal. Im thinking of buying a digital one like the hanna one for 75 but i keep seeing mixed reviews. Anyone recommend any refractometers out there.

I like my refractometer and still calibrate it every time I use it. Just make sure you have calibration liquid and don't just use RO water.

i love the Milwaukee digital checker. I just can’t see colors well. Had it over 6 years and still works perfectly

I use a refractometer that I bought from Bulk Reef Supply. It stays pretty stable. I check it with calibration fluid as needed about once per month.

sybon makes a decent refrac. you can just feel the weight of it. i have read on here to calibrate with 35ppt salinity fluid. i use britewell with a sybon
