Hey again guys!!
I'm currently debating whether to change out my current center bracing (12" wide) and replace it with back and front bracing to the top (idk what this type is called). The brace as it is, is a pain! The topside and underside has to be cleaned quite often and I see this becoming a problem in the future as a light blocker.
The tank is 48 x 20 x 18 in inches (L x H x W) and is made from 1/4" glass
This is my proposed idea:
My idea is to use 2" wide 3/8" thick glass strips along the top rim of the tank.
The plan of action would be attach the strips first and when cured cut out the center brace.
My question is will this be safe and strong enough to hold the pressure? I don't want to underestimate it and have to come home to find a cracked tank!!
