Need advice on filter sock for AIO 12g

So I bought a 200 micron IM sock a few weeks back for my 12g nano. Problem is that it clogs quickly, slows flow to my return pump, then my ATO kicks in, and fills my tank to the brim, and puts my salinity way out of whack, so not ok. I love how the water is so "pure" with the sock in. Any thoughts or reccomendations to create crystal clear water with no bubbles and extreme clarity without this problem? Waking up to a tank on the edge of overflowing this morning was not cool.

afraid it would have the same effect, though I haven't tried it. The closest reef store is over an hour away, so I have to plan my trips. I might grab some next time.

How about Amazon? They usually have great deals and you can get it with in two days in most cases

On my nano tank I use a sump with filter sock. I've had good success with a mesh sock filled with filter floss. The floss traps all the crap and the sock holds it in place. Every few days throw the floss away, rinse out the mesh (much easier to clean than felt) and refill with new stuff.

The floss I use is just Polyester Fiber Fill found in most arts and craft stores. I comes in big bags and lasts me a few months.

What micron sock do you use to prevent blockage within the sock?

I use 200. It is going to let very small particulate through but I run a carbon and sponge filters as well and they get filtered out that way.
