I have two large sinularia(I think that's what they are?) and a finger leather coral in my 75 gallon. Once I get a handle on the algae, I want to start adding some other coral. I really think one of them (at least) has to go because they are just all over the place in the tank. I don't want to start a coral war.

Any advice on what to do? Is it too big to cut off the rock and trade somebody?

I've attached some photos. The second photo shows the one finger leather and the second big one in the background. Disregard the sick angel fish, may he RIP (long story).

Can you remove it with the rock?

They can be fragged by cutting with a razor blade, but with caution. If fragged, run some GAC in the system for a few days to soak up the "juice" released. Any part remaining may and can reproduce new leathers.

Yes. I can remove the rock. Just not sure what i would do with it. No LFS close by and I’m not knowledgeable about shipping

The closest would probably be in Houston, but that’s 125 miles. I’m in deep east Texas.

Is it normal for a LFS to take coral like that for store credit?

The Houston club is MARSH
