I'm setting up my 120g (Oceanic tech series) and now come to the lighting part. Please help me choose between two Ecotech Radion G1 (1 with TIR lens) and a "IceCap 48" Reef Illuminations 2 x 250W Metal Halide, T5 & LED Aquarium Lght Fixture". http://www.amazon.com/IceCap-Illumin...e/dp/B00C2GY8F

Which one should I use and why?

how high I should mount it from the top of the tank for Radion or the Icecap

Personally I have seen some excellent radion tanks and would go that route. Are you planning this in a canopy or hung above the DT? 2 Radions about 9-10 inches off the water should handle it- you may add a 3rd if you want to punch more light down at some point.

I have used MH, T5, and LED. LED's will be the only lights I ever use again.

If you've got the cash, LEDs are the only way to go. If you don't, then I'd stick with the Halides. I still run em myself, you can't go wrong by them.

Well, the two Radion basically are free because my brother does not want them anymore. The used IceCap is $300 from an Gentlemen that I bought the tank. Since most of expert recommend led, I will stick with Radion. I will made myself a mini canopy to hang the light and to hide the power supplies. Thx
