I have a rectangular 60g tank, and am planning to turn it into a reef tank with some fish and some easy corals. Maybe some sps and soft corals. Basically, I will not try any corals that require high light, but rather the low-medium light ones. I am on a fairly small budget and need to accomplish this with as little money as possible. I've heard that I could buy a 2-bulb t-5 fixture and go with 2 10k's, that I could try an LED array, or metal halide.
Which setup is best for its money? What is the cheapest way to get the wattage that I need? Estimates on cost for each?
Also someone showed me a link to this LED light, which gives 300W for $90, New! 100x3w Led Aquarium Light With 60 Degree Lens - Buy Led Light,Led Aquarium Light,Led Lamps Product on Alibaba.com
Would that work for a tank like mine? If not could you suggest a link to something that would?
Thanks a lot guys, I'm really confused about the lighting and I dont understand all the technical words people use to suggest things!
