Hey everyone, I'm a little stumped on what kind of lighting to get for my nano tank. The tank is an Aqueon Evolve 8 (8 Gallon) and so far I have 1 medium sized torch coral and a small two polyp duncan colony in the tank. My torch seems to be flourishing with the stock light on the tank (not sure of output/wattage/par/etc.) but my duncan usually stays withdrawn most of the time. When the duncan does come out I make sure to feed it with enriched baby brine shrimp so it doesn't starve.
I am looking for suggestions for an upgrade on the light that will fit the tank (12 inches width max). My college student budget will only let me get something $100 and below though. Any help, tips, or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Also I was told the fluval nano reef lighting system was a no-go due to being too cheaply made (paying for the name, not the performance), any opinions on that? I really like the mounting system for that particular light.
