Compared to larger tanks this is already going to seem "easy" but I'm looking for some tips/tricks to make my own situation easier.

I have a sumpless 40gallon breeder and do weekly 5 gal changes.

Currently, I use two 5gallon buckets. Siphon out 5 gallons into one, then pump up the other 5 gallons with an old return pump.

I'd like to find a way to more accurately remove and replace the same amount of water as to not alter my salinity levels. I'd also like to not have to hold the tubing for each step. I use smart plugs for different things around the house and would love an idea including the use of these..

Or possibly an easy/cheap way for me to do an auto change with a doser would be more ideal.

Any suggestions are appreciated

THANKS

Check out the AWC autoaqua water changer. Would be easy for you to do with that.
