I feel SO STUPID! I was trying to get my new high end torch off the plug and put a little too much pressure... even though I had a soft place for it to land, it decided to make a weird bounce and land somewhere else. Now the skeleton is cracked!

Please tell me I'm not going to lose this head!? I can't believe I did this! So embarrassed!

Should I just leave it alone? The flesh is fine & flesh band is okay except for the one spot in the photo.

It seems to me I've heard of skeletons becoming infected after fragging? I was not sure if this might be something to look out for?

Thank you so much for any advice!!

PS- The white fuzzy stuff on the bottom is just glue.

Oh no! Might be worth considering superglueing it together? Try to keep everything as stable as possible. Seems like there are chances for them to recover.

My first thought was to stick a fine tip super glue in there and just pump the area full of glue! But wanted to consult the veterans on here first! I'm afraid to create more of an issue :loudly-crying-face:

Thank you for the reply!!

Glue it to a frag and it should be fine. If it was healthy before it should fully recover.
Thank you! I usually leave the plugs alone but dang that one was huge! I couldn't have fit it in my rockwork.... that makes me feel better though!! If nosey inverts will leave it alone lol.

Looks to be in rough shape considering the amount of tissue recession. As for the cracked skeleton, you can apply a little super glue (DO NOT "pump the area full").

Right! That's why I held off lol weird situations like this I like to ask first. My first instincts are not always best :grinning-face-with-sweat:

Do you think it will be okay to first try to leave it alone? Or do you recommend a bit of glue right now and not wait?

Either way. If you're going to glue it, don't wait - gluing later won't help anything. As long as the skeleton isn't falling apart, you should be fine.

Thanks again. I appreciate you chiming in :) I did some glue work at least externally. That's all I can do besides just be more careful in the future :loudly-crying-face:
