I have a reefer 250 and I'm currently using two Kessil a160we's. I've decided to upgrade to an AP700 that should be here later this week. I currently have my lights running at 80% maximum intensity with the 160's. I'm hoping someone can maybe help me decide where to start the intensity when I get the new light in. Everything seems to be doing ok with where the lights are now so I guess I just want to see what intensity running the AP700 at would be closest to what I'm running now. I intend on increasing the light slowly once everything is acclimated but I don't really have an idea where to start with the new light. And I intend on running the 700 at about the same height as the 160's or maybe just a couple inches higher.

Ok thanks for the link. I've got a lux meter on my phone so I'll start with trying to compare that way. Not sure how accurate those types of apps are but that will probably put me in the right ballpark since the comparison should be similar. I'm sure the corals will let me know soon enough.

And I'm thinking this light will look really good over the tank. I like the kessil lights but some of the mounting options and cord management leaves a little to be desired so I think I'll but much happier with the new light.
