Need some advice I’m going to be running two of the two little fishies 150 phosbon reactors one for carbon and one for gfo on a 45 gallon tank and 14 gallon sump and I was wondering what pump should I run if I run them together and should I run carbon first or gfo? Thanks

I just run my reactors around off the main pump and you simply throttle the flow with the valve that comes with them. They don’t need a whole lot of flow. I think they come with a manufacturers recommendation and one pump should handle both. I would look at something like the Odyssea 500 gph which is like a $25 pump

Jebao pumps power all my stuff. I know they get bad reviews, but I have gotten good service from them. That said, I like running the two on different pumps. They like different flow, and it is hard to run them right off one pump.

Might I recommend the BRS reactor for your carbon. A little bit better setup for carbon IMO, not to mention, will more than likely cost about the same if not less than the 2 little fishes reactor + pump. BRS sells it as the reactor only or a combo that comes with a MJ1200 pump.

I was thinking about those but I got these for free from a friend but without pump and I don’t know which pump two use to run both of them together for my tank since it’s a 45 gallon with 14 gallon sump

My advice would be to look at something in the 250-300gph range for your pumps. You will also probably want to get a valve to control the flow for your GFO to be able to control the tumble.

Thanks appreciate the advice all this stuff is new to me so I’m just trying to soak in as much info as I can

Take a look at the Cobalt MJ1200 pump. If you end up getting the BRS reactor(s), it connects very easy with all the attachments they give you.

I have the two of the two little fishies reactors my buddy gave emm to me since he was downsizing his tank
