Need advice on which tank to purchase

Personal opinion but I like shorter, fatter tanks (for several reasons) so would choose the Aqueon 60 gallon "breeder" tank (or similar) over a 60 cube,,, but it's rimmed so that might bother some (cosmetically).

...of course, bigger is often desirable, if space permits

My own personal preference is rectangle tanks over cube tanks.
It really comes down to personal preference.

A 60 cube is usually 2x2x2 feet, where a standard 75 is 4 long x 18" wide x 20" tall.

Since you are going fish-only, I assume you want some cool fish in there. The 75 would allow a dwarf angel, a dwarf lion, a bigger wrasse, etc... Where that wouldn't be possible with a 2' cube. I'd go with the 75.

For a fowler, I would not be looking at cubes. I'd prioritize swim length.

Bigger is definitely better. Honestly if you’re thinking FOWLR you should be looking at a 6 foot tank IMO. A 4 foot tank severely limits your options and I think you would realize that pretty quick lol. A 125 gallon is 6 feet and isn’t much more $$ than s 75 gallon. Just some to consider

Go reef ready whichever size you decide. You will have less headaches and need for water change. Also go with what fit your space requirement as well as budget. If it means going used- By all means save money doing so. Then the seller has taken the depreciation and you gain the savings

standard 75 hands down. cubes are cool dont get me wrong. I think I gotten a cube tank when I was 15, but even then I quickly wanted a bigger, more wide of a tank. but its really up to you! Which ever you choose its gonna be awesome

Morning,if I could give my 2 cents, 90 gal. It. Has the same foot print of the 75 but taller I have both and I'm way happier with the 90

I started w a 60 cube and I'd recommend going w 75. The cube stand was way too narrow/cramped making it difficult to do any work inside the stand, i.e. sump and pipes etc... and I'm a skinny guy too.
