First sorry for the long post!
Would love some expert advice on multiple questions. I have my reefer 250 that has been running for about 3 months. Had rock from my old setup and some that came with the tank. All was good did I noticed possible ich on my fish so they have been in quarantine for 5 weeks now. Tank has sat fishless and honestly most of the corals are doing well except one sps. My bubbletip recently split, zoas are spreading, but Ill admit do due to other things going on it has been neglected. Just today I had to razor blade the inside glass to get rid of all the green algae.
Inside I have a slight cyano bloom Ive been battling for almost 2 months. Also just noticed about half a dozen aiptasia and have no idea where they came from. Also noticed I have a couple rocks of tiny blue clove polyps returning. They had all but disappeared in my old tank but must be thriving in this one and taking over.
Should I start a fight on 3 fronts? Attack the cyano and aiptasia and figure out something with the polyps? Or should I take this time to possibly start over? Save all my corals and nems and get all new rock? Some still looks clean and pest free to reuse to seed new rock but who knows? My pod population has exploded and hate to lose all of them. I know theres a chemical for the cloves but also know it will kill snails and some corals which I have.
Second thought was too pull out the clearly infected rocks, put them in a tote of water and coat in a kalk paste to burn them off. Would that kill off the aiptasia and clove polyps?
Thanks for any advice!
