So I am thinking about ditching my sfiligoi medal halide T5 combo light to go back to T5 and adding Kessils to the mix
My tank is 72x30x24
I used to run an ATI 8x80 sunpower with reefbrites and was almost happy with it. I switched to give medal halides a try. I am currently running 3 400watt Radiums with the T5's supplement and reefbrites.
The reason I am thinking about changing back is I enjoy a mixed reef and haven't had success with lps under the halides.
I also have a innovative marine 30L with 3 Kessil 350's over it only running the blue channel and it is filled with lps and they love it.
So I thought about using two 4x80 ATI sunpowers and running kessils in between the two fixtures. I am not sure how many I would need to achieve the Kessil look I like so much on my 30L
I am thinking possibly running two ap700's or 5 360we's
I love the Kessil look but want the T5's to help with the sps I have which is the dominant coral in the tank.
I like a bright tank. Even when it's just the blue LEDs on. I would stick with what I have if the reefbrites would do it and they are not, and I don't think adding more would get the look I am after.
So should I do the ap700's or 360we's???
Thanks for any advice or if someone has done something similar that could chime in.

Pic of the light when the tank was first set up
Excuse the bad pic

Great looking set up!

Have you thought about an LED/T5 Combo?

The spread of the AP700 is SUPPOSE to be better. But LEDs and T5 combos rock! I love my Aquaticlife XS series with an Aquaticlife Quad T5. Bulb color has a lot to d with it as well. Very nice setup!

I cant speak from experience, but a few reviews I have read about the ap700 is that it's not really up to snuff, esp for the price. If I were in your shoes and from what I have read about kessils new fixtures I would go with the 360's. Tried and true, def a great light.

Edit: haha just saw your last post. :p
