Welcome to Reef 2 Reef

A Bubble Tip Anemone is a good start, if your reef has the correct lighting and water chemistry.
I would not put any nen. in a reef until I knew that the reef was mature and stable.

You need good test kits so you can test and keep theses parameters inline:
Calcium
Alk
Mag
Phosphates
Nitrates

If your just a beginner and don't understand those parameters yet, then your not ready for an anemone.

Heres some water guide lines to help you.

Here's another site for BTA's (It's kind of clunky so you can click on the "More" tab)

Hope this helps.

Is there a kit you'd recommend I check my ammonia and nitrates both are really low I use a api kit I've heard they're not that accurate

API is ok for ammonia but I'd get the Salifert kit and be sure your nitrites have zeroed out too.

These are what I'd recommend:
Cal: Salifert
Alk: Hanna alk checker
Mag: Salifert
Phosphates: Hanna ULR checker
Nitrates: Salifert

Salifert kits are great. Check Amazon for the best prices I've found... I love supporting my LFS but theirs are priced at $25-30 whereas Amazon has them for $10-20. Just make sure to keep an eye on expiration dates.
