Hey

Going to start a fish room and I need some advice on moving my 210 gallon sps Dominate Tank into the room later without stressing me sps to much

Here going to be the Process of what my plains are

Setting up 150 gallon display with a 40 gallon frag tank and 90 gallon sump , down the road adding the 210 to the system. Plain on plumbing in the 150 and frag tank this week into the sump . Once I have got all the plumbing done and all the pumps set up and electrical done going to add some sand and live rock from my 210 , then going to do water change from my 210 and add it to the new system. Once the tanks are cycled I want to move my 210 into the room and plumb it into the system

When I take down my 210 for the move all rock that has coral on it going to be placed in the frag tank or the 150 while I move the tank

My biggest worries are how much am I going to stress the sps during this. What’s the likelihood I will have sps start to RTN ?

Any advice on making this move easier or a better way to do it would be greatly appreciate

My advice... move slow.

You can do a huge, all in a day move... I've seen them be successful, and I've seen them _not_ be successful.

Honestly, in your position, I'd not do it. Set up your 150, pretty much empty, get it stable, and then move corals and critters to it. Slowly.

Once they're all moved, empty and move the tank, get it stable, and then move critters and corals back. Slowly.

Might take you a few months to move everything, but the chances of killing off a bunch of livestock are much lower this way.

I agree totally, if you're not moving your location and have no deadline. Go the slow route. Much less stress on you and your corals.

The corals will only be in the 150 for a few hours while i set up the 210 after the move. And yes going to go slow with the cycle of the 150
