Hello Everyone,

I have learned after reading many post that it is better to ask questions about a coral prior to purchase. So here I go.

I went to a LFS and found this little beauty. I immediately remember Elegance Coral's advise and rather than purchase the coral I took a picture of it to see if anyone can tell me if this would be a good buy. I asked the sales rep if it was an Australian Elegance and he told me that based on the asking price of $120 it was. I told him I needed t make sure and he told me he would check the invoice. After waiting 20 minutes or so, seriously, I went to look for him. He told me that it was.

Can anyone tell me if this might be an Australian? Is it healthy? Should I pass the sale up?

Thank you.

for 120$ I would wait two weeks before buying it. if it looks as good in 2 weeks I would consider it. its not worth the risk otherwise

Hi

I just lost a Indo Elegance, the only advice I can give is look at the edges of the elegance (part that is connecting to the Skeleton). If you see some loose meat falling out, it could be a tiny little bit it is a sign they are melting. All elegance are so awesome looking I'm not sure any pics will show if they sick or not unless it is the elegance disease.

Good luck.

We see hundreds and hundreds of these each month. It defiently looks Australian to me. The Australian elegance live very well for us. The indo elegance do not. I would NEVER buy an indo elegance or suggest anyone else to do so. The Australian ones however are well worth the extra money and do very well. Hope this helps you.

I am sorry to hear you lost the Elegance. I have heard so many stories about people losing their elegance that I am hesitant to buy it.

Thank you so much for your advise. I will not buy Indo and would rather pay the price for an Australian.

I will keep a close eye on it for the next two weeks and if its doing good I will pick it up.

Jim,

I just visited your website, impressive pics of the aussie. I wish I could find something like it locally. The fish store I visited is over an hour away. My LFS carries only Indo.
