[TD="class: alt1, bgcolor: #EBEBEB"]hey guys and gals, I am going to get my glass cut today, and I am wondering if I would have any issues with my design. I don't really want to do a filter sock. So I am wanting to incorporate a media box in the skimmer chamber for ( filter floss, chemi pure (GFO/Carbon), and purigen) ...

so my question is if your looking at the quick sketch. the first baffle is only 8 in wide that flows over into the next baffle and under , and back over the last baffle to the return area. Will this cause me any issues ?
the shaded area is the media/ skimmer baffle.....

thanks in advance !!

I am assuming that water will drain down into the "media box" and then into the skimmer chamber. I don't see how that would cause you any problems as long as you have a way for the water to go from the "media box" into the skimmer chamber without going over the 1st baffle. You just wouldn't want water to go over the shaded baffle before the skimmer had a chance to skim it. I hope what I said makes sense :)

Yes the flow goes through the media box then out the bottom gap of 2 In. Then gets skimmed then over the first baffle.
