i have two anemones in my tank
I don’t think I’m equips for them but I got em on a really god sale so I couldn’t pass them up

I need abetter light and fast, rightnow this is what I have As you can see I’m on a tight budget
I need a better light for like 50-60 dollars
Let me know if you find anything and if the one I have is sufficient

What size tank do you have ? I have a reef edge 48” LED programable light that was a present and I have no use for it my tanks are all big and I put other lights on them. If interested pm me I will do $60 for you but you would have to pay shipping.

The tank is 5 gallon nano so that’s gonna be way to big

What kind of anemones did you get for a pico so small :(
I’m not trying to be a Debbie downer but other than some rock flowers, and that’s pushing it, you shouldn’t put anemones in tanks that small as a general rule. Someone way more experience might say it can be done but 95% of the time it doesn’t work. Stability is super hard in 10 or less gallons. I have a 3 gallon and it still goes haywire sometimes. I only keep really hardy softies in it.
Can you elaborate more on the nems?
Unfortunately, IMO, I would upgrade a lot more than your lights to grow anemones :(

Oops
I’m not very experienced as you can tell
I don’t know what kind of anemone it is
It’s. Got purple tentacles with dots on the tips and the tentacles are long
I had a clownfish so I figured one anemone couldn’t be too bad and with a canister filter and refugium I should do fine
Anyway when I got to my lfs they gave me a deal
Two for 50 so I was like well what’s the harm
But I guess I made a mistake
They seem to be doing fine tho
I have plenty of flow and am doing daily 10% eater changes so hopefully things will go okay
I also heard that if their mouth is not gaping and there are no cuts on the food, that they are fine
Let me know what you think I should do

These are candy anemone. They go for 13 bucks on Petco. Big stingers but easy to keep.

+1

This is the light that I was going to suggest as well. Remember that one of the most important things for anemones is stability which can be more of a challenge in a pico tank - good luck!
Ive Decided I’m going to change to a 10 gallon in a few weeks for the safety of the fish corals and the two nems
