I have the Aquatic Life T5 hybrid, and the cords aren't long enough to reach to my outlet. There are 2 cords that control 2 T5's each. I am going to have all 4 bulbs turn on at the same time, so ideally I would need an extension cord that I can plug the 2 plugs into and have that go to just one plug that will go into the wall. I have the 48" T5 version, so each bulb is 54W. I need a cord that is about 6' long.

My biggest fear with my tank is that I will start an electrical fire, so I want to make sure that I get an appropriate cord. Thanks for your help!!

Just get a 14 gauge cord. More than enough.

Get a Hamilton setup and you can plug it in next door. LOL
