He seems fairly active, just running around the live rock, not going to any of the other rocks or on the sand.

About 1/4" long
Clear tear-shaped body
Moving too fast to count legs
2 long antenna

Welcome to the forum!
That’s an Amphipod - good guy and there are many more in your tank.
They eat algae and detritus and also make a great snack for fish.

Thanks! I didn't think it was evil but the only thing I've purposely put in the tank was a load of tigger pods so it must have come from the live rock.

Rock, sand, and coral is usually how they come in. They spread like wildfire, but a good fish population keeps them in check.

This is a pico tank so will any crustaceans keep them in check?

Was probably going to pick up a few pom pom crabs and a cleaner next week from my lfs.

Unless I can get away with 1 clown fish but I've heard mixed things about putting one in a 5 gal.

Tbh I’m not sure which inverts specifically eat them, but I’m sure any crab or shrimp that got their claws on one would.
Even small gobies that would be good in a 5 would eat them.
