Lol I didn't even seen him I have a few of them that came in on some rock but he is the biggest the others are smaller then a pice of rice lol he hasn't done anything just sits in the rock and runs into a hole if I get close so this is a rare picture but thanks for the info and if it is a gorilla crab why are they bad?My first guess is a vermetid snail (I know it doesn't move. They don't). The tube is unusually clear so I'm not sure but do some googling and see what you think.
I'd probably also recommend arresting that crab in the upper right of the first pic. I can't see his pincers but looks like a gorilla. He'd do fine in your sump but probably don't want him in your DT.
Gorilla crabs will eat coral, other members of your cleanup crew, and will eventually get big enough to catch and eat smaller fish. You definitely don't want them in your DT. General rule of thumb is hairy crabs are bad.Lol I didn't even seen him I have a few of them that came in on some rock but he is the biggest the others are smaller then a pice of rice lol he hasn't done anything just sits in the rock and runs into a hole if I get close so this is a rare picture but thanks for the info and if it is a gorilla crab why are they bad?
