So I have hundreds of these tiny snails that look like mini cerith. But I also know I have a few pyrmad snails as I have removed them (during the day) from my CUC. These snails in the pic only came out at night. And they appeared to be munching on algae.

Next question: I know it is hard to see but it looks like a long tentacle anemone that is clear with little white balls on the tips. It only comes out at night also.

Any insight is appreciated!

There is a variation in the color of cerith snails. The cerith will bury itself in the sand and come out at night it looks like a cerith snail to me

Not sure on the snails... but if they're observed eating algae, then I wouldn't be too concerned.

The nem is a ball anemone... harmless little guy.
I keep reading mixed reviews on ball nems, some say harmless some say they have a potent sting and can take out CUC and in some instances fish. I have been trying to destroy mine but they keep popping up.

I've got a couple, stayed small and haven't had any missing livestock or mysterious deaths... been in there since the tank started 18 months or so ago.

Those snails have a pyramid look to them biut it's hard to say for sure from the pic. Ball anemone has the potential to sting corals and multiply fast, especially if you feed the tank heavily. I've dealt with them for years, they can be a pain.

+1 they look like pyramid snails. We have dealt with them for awhile now.
