Found on a xenia frag. Looks to be some kind of starfish. Wondering if it's safe.

Weird. Not sure id say its a star fish. Google. (Common reef hitch hikers ) theres a list with pictures itll help u determine this sucker

Thanks. I've been looking at every hitchhiker list I can find but still nothing. In person it looks like a fat,squishy, starfish. It's definitely not asterina. Hopefully someone else will know and chime in.

Looks like a star of some kind to me. Use forceps and peel it off the rock and turn it over

Pretty sure that is an asterina star. The colored ones are said to be eaters of zoas/corals.
