Anyone knows what this is? Some sort of nudi? Barely moves

Weird, I somehow edited this with a period only. I don't remember exactly what I said.

I was originally excited because my friend just found a tiny hitchhiking basket star and I thought it could be that, but looking at the picture closer, I was probably envious without reason.

I think what you have is a version of a curly nudi. The genus is Phyllodesmium. I believe there is a few that look similar. I don't remember what they ate exactly, but it's probably coral of some sort. I'll see if I can find it on the Sea Slug site. (I'm still envious, but I shouldn't admit to that. People already look at me oddly :)

Pull it off and out, to get a better look.

That indeed looks like a dying curly. I'm sorry, I was going to go look that up, wasn't I. I'm going right now to confirm. I haven't seen one in awhile.

Do you see him in this link? You don't need to ID him exactly, as all species eat octocorals. ut does he look like that general group?

I'm sure you're not as excited to have him as I am to see him. It's literally been a couple years since I've seen one. I was really hoping for the basket star though. LOL.

Oh and I should say, you wouldn't be saving him. I would take lots of pictures and then flush him myself. I wouldn't be able to feed him. But if you live somewhere cold, he wouldn't make it alive.
