Just placed my unicorn tang in qt, had what I believed to be and what looked like ich. Now that he's been placed in the qt, he has white blotches and very dark skin, skin color used to be somewhat of a grey color. Is he mad, which in turn is causing his skin to look like this or does he gave some type of disease?

How big is the qt? He’s trying to camouflage, can he fit in and hide in any of those pvc parts?

QT is 29g, he's the only fish in there and the pvc is plenty big for him. Looks as if he may have changed colors to camouflage next to the air sponge. Love this fish in particular, want him to survive, he actually let me pet him during feeding and tank maintenance, when he was in the DT.

Have you tried a quick freshwater dip and see if anything falls off? Might be flukes.

A FW dip is quick and may actually help him. But it’s your fish and you know him best. I wouldn’t want to suggest anything that’ll hurt him more. But I suggest a quick read on flukes and see if you think that’s what they are.
