So I bought a hammer yesterday and it has several stony growths on its stall. Any ideas on what they are?

They look like vermetid snails. I would crush them with tweezers as they irritate corals

hi,look like vermented snails,

verments ,for sure

it is best to crush shells, and glue dab shut base

So I removed with some surgical clamps and gently scraped the base clean of the crusty snail bases. You still suggest glueing the shaft of the hammer?

if you think you got them, hold off ,if see return, then yes ;)
