Need an opinion on lighting

Do you guys think using a kessil 160 in the middle and 2 kessil 80s on each side would be overkill for a fluval m90 tank, 36 gallons. It would be a mixed reef tank.

excessive? probably. but if you scale back the brightness a bit and/or hang them a little higher so you're not blasting the tank you'll have great coverage.

Yeah, I suppose I'll do it for the coverage. I imagine I'll never have intensity above 50 or 60%

Overkill? Not at all. But mounting height, types of corals, and coral placement will all be important considerations
