So...here's the story line with my nem.

I got this rainbow bta about 6 or so months ago. I put him in my 90g and he was loving life in his spot. I had 34w t5s as my lights (2 fixtures). Then about 2-3 months ago, he made a big move and moved to the inside part of this arch rock I had, he was in the side, under the top. So kinda out of the light.

Then about a month ago, we decided to combine our 2 tanks (my 90g and the other 65g we had) and put everything into the 120g we bought. We used as much of the water from both tanks as we could, all the live rock, and the only thing that didn't move was the sand I had in mine (the 65 had a bare bottom).

The 65g had a purple long tip nem in it, so now they're both in the same tank. The purpe tip is thriving - doing just fine. But not so much for my rtba. He's been going off and on from being all deflated and dead looking, to sometimes partially bubbling up and looking semi decent. He's been doing this since about a week after the move. Now he's not staying attached to rocks very long...and is currently deflated on my sand bed. I don't know what to do! I don't want to lose him.

My perameters were as follows the last time I took them:
ph 8.4, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10ppm, kh 143.2, calcium 440 and phosphate .25. Salinity is like 24/25. I just did a 20% water change last week. And here are some recent pictures.

So these are kind of backwards, lol. The last picture with the circle was last night. I left for work and he looked all shriveled up like that, and then see my long tentacle one is doing fine. Then we go to the first picture - came home from work and he was kinda plumped up like that, doing better. Then today I get home from work and he's like he is in the 2 middle pictures. All shriveled up again, plus detached from the rock.

What do I do!?

do you have alot of flow beating him up? i would put him somewhere with mid flow and high light and if he attaches to the rock i would feed him a few large pieces of shrimp. anytime i get a new nem i put them right where i want and after them hook on and start to fill out, i feed them. them a couple days later feed again. once they get used to being fed in their spot, they wont go far. good luck!
