I had a rock wall collapse today. To get it all together again I took every rock out and began again. However I'm not asking about this so please don't respond here and do keep reading.

In a hurry, I cut a leather from the rock without goggles and it SQUIRTED ME IN THE EYE. I flushed my eye with water and thought it was fine. However now, 3 hours later, my eye has some pain though it's probably no more than a 3 out of 10. It feels more like an irritant.

I ALWAYS wear goggles when propagating so this has never happened before. Should I be worried? What should I do if anything?

If it does not get better maybe you need to go see about it.

You should flush it with water for 10-15 minutes. Your eye will be irritated I'm sure over the next couple of days. If you experience any visual changes or sudden onset of shortness of breath, dizziness, headaches, nausea or vomiting I would go to the nearest hospital

Thanks Mike. I hated posting this but I knew someone would have some answers. I will indeed go to the doctor tomorrow if it's not better. I feel so stupid for getting in a hurry and making a foolish mistake.

you should be fine, it has happened to me a few times my eye was red for a few days. Nothing severe if problem gets worse contact your doctor immediately.

lol sounds like you just took that straight off the T/v perfectly said bro. lol!

If your eye is red tomorrow or begins to drain go to the MD, tell him exactly what happened. It's not the fluids from the coral that worries me, it's the bacteria.

Having worked in acute care trust me, error on the side of caution on this one. I've seen some horrific (putting it nicely) eye infections.

This is not to discount advice provided thus far.

lol!!!! Yea, working out in the field and my wife being a critical care nurse it feels like we live on a tv show somedays. At least the kids are safe right...... Lol!!!

How's the eye looking today?

Thanks for asking. It is about the same: slight pain and still red. However, not worse so I'm still sitting on it for now and paying close attention to it.
