Need aquascaping help on a new 40 breeder

Setting up a new 40b using fresh (dry) Marco Rocks and dry sand... Need aquascaping help bad. I've been arranging these rocks for a week now and I'm no closer than when I started. I have 40 lbs of regular Marco Rocks which came in two big 20 lb chunks and then another 40 lb box of the rocks cut flat on one side... 80 lbs of rock should be more than enough for a 40b and yet here I am!

Thoughts?

Then I moved the rock on the right away from the others, and pulled it forward a bit.
Any better?

Should I get rid of the little rock island out front completely? Add more ?
I still have plenty of rocks ,but most are flat on the bottom other than the two big ones .

I think you are trying to hard lol. Definitely remove the flat rock bridge.......I wouldn't use those flat bottomed rocks anywhere but on the substrate. With the rock you have, I personally would create a structure on the left side going up higher, and gradually bring it lower and lower as it moves right. I would also stay away from a single small rock on the substrate unless you are trying to contain something to one rock. In smaller tanks, it makes the scape look to "scattered".....again, just my opinion
