I have two clowns for about 2 years and about a day ago I noticed this small white patch on the larger of the twoTemp: 79
Salinity: 35 PPT
Nitrate: 5
Phosphate: 0.02

The female has demonstrated no distressing behaviors as far as I can tell, eager to eat, and active, no signs on the other clown

The only thing I can note is that the coloration is splotchy on the main body but I'm not certain if its a big concern or just signs of possible coral stinging from the clowns interacting with them IMG_0920.jpg IMG_0923.jpg IMG_2091.jpg IMG_0922.jpg

White clowns are difficult to make assessments with and the circled area appear to be cysts or bumps which can emerge from post injury or bites if other clown is trying to bite it. If not, can also be bacterial. A little brighter white intensity without the blue lighting may help view the fish a little clearer

Alrighty I'll give it a go once my clowns stop hiding in the rocks lol

Do you mean the pink-ish lines near the middle of the fish - or is that just an artifact of the photo? Are there any other symptoms? Any other sick fish or inverts

No if you look at the photos there is a small red circle on the area of concern, none of the fish really demonstrate any concerning behavior other than the discoloration, which looks whitish, although I do have a hard time determining it if fuzzy or powdery, like Vette said it could just be some damage from the clowns going at it or bacterial and it only appeared about 3 days ago so I'm trying to play it safe

If you look behind the circle in one of your pictures there is a clear pink line. that same fish (I think) has an area that looks slightly reddened = is that what you're talking about in the circle?

got some more photos hopefully this helps

Tough to see, but that does look like an injury to me. The other thought is that it is an internal infection that has broached the surface of the fish. Injuries usually heal on their own, but internal infections are difficult to treat. If the spot isn't growing in size, I'd be inclined to just watch it for now, since there aren't other symptoms.

Will do!

Just a quick update it appears that it is getting smaller but I will check up on it until it goes away completely

Thank you for all the help!
