is it necessary to dip clams or treat them. I'm paranoid as I know the tank it came out of had some flat worms. just the little brown guys, not AEFW's or Monti eaters...I don't think. I wanna be safe.

It's acclimating as we speak.

ANY help greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I honestly dont know the answer to that one but I would qt it and keepan eye out for any buggers.

I would not dip it as a preventative measure. Just QT if you can.

I acclimated it to my 70 gallon. That's filled with softies and zoos. I know that tank has the little brown flat worms in it. The harmless kind. I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

I just don't know if clams can be carriers. I imagine the shell could carry FW's. So it may remain in the 70. Only problem there is its only got 4x39w T5's over it. Not sure if that will suffice. Just too paranoid to put something in the 180 that can't be dipped or treated otherwise.

Thanks for the help!

maxima 4 x 39W Tek fixture. Geissmans, Daylight, 2 Superactinics and one Aquablue...I believe. I studied bulbs for weeks before buying them and now I can't remember exactly what they are...:hammer:
