So for my 40b tank I really want a pair of clowns but I want something a little different than the usual ocellaris or percula. I was thinking of doing a pair of either

Tomato Clownfish (Amphiprion frenatus)
Cinnamon Clownfish (Amphiprion melanopus)
Orange Skunk Clownfish (Amphiprion sandaracinos)
White Bonnet Clownfish (Amphiprion leucokranos)

Would like to hear opinions or thoughts about them and personal experience is always great too! Also if you have a suggestion that you think would be great, let me know

All of those get awfully large IME except perhaps orange skunk. I don't know much about bonnet but tomato and cinnamon get quite large. All are very aggressive and in a 40B the territory they defend would be unavoidable by many inhabitants so that may be an issue.

Ocellaris variants IME are the least aggressive.

But of your selections I would go with orange skunk

I love orange skunks, such an underappreciated clown. They almost always take to hosting in an anemone, are a smaller clown, and are brightly colored.

Good to know, I was afraid that the tomato and cinnamon would get aggressive. lol so that narrows the list down pretty well, looks like it will most likely be a pair of orange skunks!

We have a lightning maroon clown F and a Morse code maroon clown M. They are happy in our 40b n get along fine with the M mandarin. But the tanks basically the clowns. We're looking for the right deal to setup a 6ft 125 gallon also. Depends how aggressive they get to if they get allowed into larger community reef. ;)

Do you plan on having any other fish in this tank?

I, personally, wouldn't call an orange skunk a smaller clownfish. Easily twice the size of size of perc.
IME, once spawning, they can get a bit more aggressive. So any other tank mates have to be considered carefully.

That tank is going to have a gold assessor, a royal gramma and a pair of Banggai Cardinalfish
