Hey guys, I'm very new, but have spent countless hours researching to start my tank. My uncle gave me his extra 34 gallon tank, I guess you'd call it a cube.

I already have my base idea of 2 Clownfish and a Yellow Watchman Goby. I have also thought of adding some hermit crabs and maybe a shrimp as a clean up crew. If you agree with that, how many hermit crabs would suffice? Also, after adding these with the 3 fish, would that be the limit of fish for this size tank? If not, what else would you add? I was hoping to add these, plus maybe another fish or 2 if that is acceptable.

I'm also looking to add some zoas to start off since I am very new and have read that these are easier to start with.

Any tips would be appreciated!

IMHO, hermit crabs don't make up great clean up crew. A few are OK, but I wouldn't want more than 3 to 5 in a 34g tank. Variety is a better choice. Consider some Astraea snails, maybe a serpent star, an algae eating blenny, a small yellow sea cucumber. Look around as there are many possible choices.
