Hello R2R,

currently i run a Frag Tank 60cm with, 40cm depth and 30cm height which shares the Sump with my Main Tank. It has two holes - one for water out - one for in.

Now i got a "Preis Frag Tank" for few Bugs which is slightly bigger than my current 65cm width x 55cm depth x 25cm height - but has no holes. It has an integrated "Sump" for a return pump, heater and carbon.

So what do you think:

1.: Remove the Sump/Glass in the middle and drill a hole in it
or
2.: Run it separately from the Main Tank?

If 2nd, what Skimmer do you prefer?

It should be a Frag Tank for my Zoas and 2 Clownfishes.

I am looking forward to hearing your opinion :)

Greetings from Germany

Manuel

Are you sure it’s drillable? I have an all-in-one nano and the back glass is tempered. I would double-check!

I'am not shure... hm okay - maybe an overflowbox would do the job? But what do you think - run the Fragtank with the Water of the Maintank or run it separately?

Well, i will run it separately. As a Skimmer, i will use a Bubble Magus BM-NACQQ New. What do you mean - remove the black Glass, left and right a Sicce with a Wavemaker or a Returnpump behind the Glass and in front a Loc-Line for flow?
