Need gear recommendation

Hello everyone! I just replace out my xtaqua ato with a tunze 3155. So far I am liking the new equipment, but my line keeps siphoning... Wondering if you all could recommend a good anti siphon valve for the tunze 3155 setup. I believe it is 1/4" tubing...

It should not siphon at all.
Post a pick of where your return line is and your ato container.
I run 2 on different systems and never had a siphon.

Problem is, it keeps allowing water through it after pump shuts off... it's a trigger systems cr44 sump and trigger systems 10 gallon reservoir...

I had an xtaqua ato in it, it kept failing so I replaced it with tunze 3155. My last ato had this inline on the water line which prevented that. It's just the wrong size so I can't reuse it...

It is attached to dosing tube port on my sump, quick connect... I added a picture to show you where the quick connect ends at, it's well above the water line...

Tunze does not need that.
I think I see the issue.
Raise the dosing tube up like mine is. If its below the ato water line it will sipho.

Ok, I see what your saying... still would like to use the valve so I can fill my reservoir all the way up... any recommendations???

I can't tell from the picture, but with what you are saying I'd assume the outlet of your ATO is lower than the water in your ato. That would cause it to siphon out after the pump turns on. You may need to move your ATO outlet to your tank. You could also get creative with your plumbing and use a T and some tubing to create a vacuum break.

And connection is alot cleaner through the dosing port... I built my sump stand to land at stomach to chest level for me. (My back isn't what it used to be.) So my ato level is mostly above the water line most of the time...

Yea, cut that tube even with the bottom of the white part and that should do it.
Also you can shorten the tube comming out of your ato.
Take a look at mine as it comes right out of my ato to the tank.

The tank is on the next floor up above it. Don't think the ato pump would last long trying to make that kind of head pressure... lol

It probably wouldn't indeed. You could try the vacuum break idea if you like, I've had success with it. just need an inline T and enough tubing going upward to keep water off your floor.

The obvious just occurred to me also. Could you put a tiny hole in the outlet tube inside your ATO just below the top so it can pull air and break the siphon? When running a small amount of the water will drip back into your container, but shouldn't affect anything.

I too am replacing my Auto Aqua ATO which has that valve.

While it's a tight fit onto the 1/4" Tunze black tubing, it fits great if you use a hair dryer to heat up the vinyl tube, then slip on the valve.

I haven't set up my Tunze ATO yet, but I expect this to hopefully work well in stopping siphon.
