Need help ! Alk over dosing .

Ouch thats a lot. I was dropping my alk by about 0.4 dkh per day, but it was a 'pour it all in at once' dose every day, so I guess I probably saw a drop of about 0.4 pH units each time if the relationship between dkh and pH is a straight line, but it would have been quite sudden, probably not a good idea. I didn't realise the effect would be so significant on pH. Thanks for the details, I will put it in the doser if I ever have to do it again.

Best to do it in a new salt mix barrel, if the salt mix is the concern.
