I have a Reef Octopus 250 int and was wanting to run a line to outside of the home, 25 feet plus. The question I have, can you use attic air instead of outside air, that run would be about 12 feet? I used some co2 media in a phosban 150, and depleted in 24 hours. Ph went from 8.17 to 7.90 currently now. Do you have to increase the diameter of the piping to skimmer?

My attic area is vented to the outside so it would be the same as running a line outside.

Attic air should be fine co2 is heavier than both o2 and n2 so the co2 you are making should be higher in your living space.

for most skimmers just have insert the line into the air silencer. Can add a small airline valve Above where it enters to control the air flow if needed.
