Return pump is a Mag 24 feeding chiller and tank
I have a 120g 48x24x24 and a 30g sump. I do weekly 20g water changes . I dose prodibio Boiptim and Digest 2 time a week. I also dose MinS and Organic and Zeo Xtra, Sponge power, K balance, And Iron . K and Iron are dosed once a week. All other are dosed daily all at night. As for fish i have very little ony 6 fish and feed daily.

That's an awful lot of things you're dosing. Are you testing for each?

Typically, STN can be traced to Alk, but with all of those different things that you're dosing, it could any any number of things.

I'd suggest stopping all dosing for things you are not testing for AND have a valid reason to dose. In other words, can you show evidence that any of those things you're dosing, are in fact beneficial to corals? If not, stop dosing them, as they could be what is causing the problems.

Are all effected corals Acropora? If so, I'd be looking for possible pests. Red bugs don't cause tissue necrosis, so I'd be looking for Acro eating flatworms, IF all effected corals are Acropora.

Well all are food for sps I run a ULNS and if i stop feeding my sps fade out . As for Iron i only dose 1 drop I been dosing this for a 2 year with no problem as for k balance i test for that and is stays at 400 . As for fraging tryed that an it make it worse the frag stn in a few days. the only thing i can think of is a bacteria infection in the sps.

Maybe it's a byproduct of running an ULNS. If you think there may be something bacterial going on, might try dipping them. However, I don't know what you'd dip them in, that's antibacterial, that wouldn't kill them, outright.

No pest that was the first thing i check for dips some pieces and nothing on them . This is been going on for a month now

i had this happen not long ago and fixed it by raising my alk a little. I've always run my tanks with an alk of around 8, and never had a problem until recently. Once i raised it to 9-10, the STN stopped. It drove me nuts for a couple of weeks trying to figure out what was wrong b/c everything tested fine. I'm not saying this is what your problem is, but just throwing out a suggestion from something i experienced recently.

Ok i think i know what happening i just search about prodibio and alot of people are having snt because it strips the tank to fast . So im stopping the prodibio and going back to zeo start3 and zeobac

FWIW, I'd be weary of raising your alk. From what I've read, an alk above 8-9 can be problematic in an ULNS. Not sure of the reasoning on this, or how much truth there is to it, but it's something to do a bit of research on prior to adjusting your alk levels.

i think you are just running too "clean" let phos and nitrate rise a tad bit and try feeding something more meaty like oyster feast and roti feast... i like coral smoothie. this happens to me every time i get my ultra low nutrient tank to low/"zero". dont frag it in this case it will just make it worst just.

I agree, I did a bunch of reading the other night because I too had a couple of Acro's STN on me. From what I found my ALK was too low so I raised it back up to 8.0dkh. But I also found that people who have ULNS tanks are having a much higher rate of STN because the tanks are too clean.

Frag - or believe it or not -

covering the recession line (along with a little healthy tissue) with a smear of gel reef glue (super glue) will stop it in it tracks in many cases.

Feed heavier once the tissue receding stops. Just once or twice a week put in a liquid food like phyto or zoo plex or whatever takes your fancy. Youll add a bit of phos and trate and feed your corals shouldnt I dont think youll do any harm to your tank. I run bio pellets and gfo and have a huge fuge just so I can feed several times a week and I feed my fish pretty heavy as well. IMO whats the point in having a killer nutrient export system if you dont have any nutrients to export?

Thanks guys i think your right to clean of a system , So i turned off me skimmer and feeding very heavey, but keeping a eye on my parameters. Once my phos go up to 0.002 and trates go up to 0.02 ill turn my skimmer on and keep feeding more and get more fish . ULNS is not good to have.
