Need help asap!

I'm not trying to pressure you or talk down to you at all. I'm only giving my opinion on what I would do if it was my tank to hopefully help you figure out what's going on.
I think that's the whole point of reef2reef is to come together and share experiences to find a solution.

What is your ammonia at? Did you add new rock or anything? How suddenly did you add all the new fish?

You could also get a hang on the back skimmer. That would help with nutrient export too :)

How do you know for sure that there is parasites or bad bacteria in your tank.? The other fish that are in the tank show no signs of distress. I have had them for about a year, now
Once you get your nitrates down, you can get a black freshwater Molly and convert it to saltwater and put it into the tank. It will have no defenses against saltwater disease and will show signs of infection. The Molly can be removed from the tank and converted back to freshwater to cure anything it may get.

Then you know what's there and can remove your livestock and do as @melypr1985 suggested above

That. Is so cool lol I've never heard of that trick

Yep, just be sure to get a black one so any white spots will be easily visible

Looks like I only have 2 left. We use to have a lot. I bought an oscar to eat them. Hehe... :> my dad has the other siblings. Does this work with any other fish?

I guess orange would work. IMG_2129.JPG

Mollies I know can be converted to saltwater, people do it sometimes because they are supposed to be good algae eaters. That orange is probably dark enough to see stuff on still.
They will take some time to get used to reef tank flow.
Im not aware of any other freshwater fish that you can do that with..

someting is wrong with that tank. at 6 months it shouldn't look like that.
where is your water coming from.

Mollies are cool but they cannot handle the flow we have for a reef.....
This is not about putting them in for long term, though people do.
I don't think they would have a problem with the OPs flow, it's not an Sps tank...
It's really a test, before exposing any more marine livestock to a possible disease

You said that your fish displayed all the symptoms I listed, and that's how you know. A healthy fish doesn't do anything I listed. Each of those symptoms is an indicator of disease and parasites. There is no way nitrates killed all those fish, that's wishful thinking. Read the links I posted and make your own decision. It's not a mystery disease and I'm not assuming. I'm saying there is a parasite in the tank based on your response that the fish displayed all the symptoms I listed. That would consistent with velvet or ick. You don't have to listen to me or follow my advice but the links I posted will tell how to treat for these things. Good luck
