its me again ugh...
I am three weeks in on my qt for copper treatment to add new fish and woke up this morning and everything changed for the worse. Before this morning everything was going fine . Everyone was eating and swimming . And then this morning my Lubbock wrasse is struggling to stay up right and "bobs" and rotates trying to swim and my royal gramma tail fin seems to be " partly missing " And the diamond watchmen goby seems to be completely fine .
The water parameters all seem fine
10 gallon qt
Nitrate 5ppm
Ammonia badge says safe and API test says 0
Nitrite 0
Copper 1.5

I did a 40 percent water change .

Please help #reefsquad

+1 @twilliard I am looking at the fins and the are pretty torn up. You might want to look and getting a acclamation box an placing the wrasse in the box. Feed to vitamin M with some seachme focus with the frozen to help the wrasse heal and the tank mates general health.

Agree with the above.

I also want to make sure you know to shine a light at the back side of the alert badge to read it. Since a typical QT system doesn't have bright lighting, you need to shine a flashlight at the back of the badge to get it to read properly.

I was thinking a fight too but seeing the condition of this poor wrasse just bobbing with no swimm "control" he is so close to death , kind of confused me. They were completely fine for the first 3 weeks together . Buddies actually . No way this is fin rot or bacterial / infections ?

Do you suggest removing the goby who is completely fine ?

Hello brew12 , light was shined through seachem badge and still saying safe .

Unfortunately, the battle damage now has the potential to become infected. So I would probably dose an antibiotic, such as Kanaplex or Furan-2, to get a jump on things.
I agree and I agree this is likely the result of a fight

Just got back from the fish store to get the meds and the isolation acclimation box , they are isoldsted now the gramma now is close to death and his tail is almost complete off now . There is no way the wrasse took more of the tail as he is close to dead . The wrasse now has read spots on his mouth . Any chance this could be something else as the health of the gramma has dropped drastically in last hour (close to death as well )

The wrasse just died and I did a freshwater dip and a bunch of little white things came out of his eyes and Gills
Gramma is on his soon to be death bed .

Didnt you treat for flukes with Prazi? I dont recall a FW dip in the other thread.

Did copper before doing the Prazi. The gramma just passed as well. Did the FW dip on the "healthy " goby and a couple white things came off of it . Dosed prazi in the qt now . Hopefully the goby lives .
All filter floss and carbon to be removed from hob filters while dosing prazi ?
